Nestlé Health Science U.S. Appoints Abigail Buckwalter New Chief Executive Officer
HOBOKEN, N.J. (October, 20, 2023) – Nestlé Health Science, a global leader in nutrition and wellness, announced today the appointment of Abigail Buckwalter as Chief Executive Officer of the U.S. business. Buckwalter will report to Anna Mohl, Global Chief Executive Officer for Nestlé Health Science, effective immediately.
Buckwalter succeeds Don Kerrigan, who will be departing Nestlé Health Science to pursue new opportunities. During his tenure, Kerrigan played a key role in laying the foundation for the company's future growth.
In her new role, Buckwalter will be responsible for leading and driving the strategic direction and growth of Nestlé Health Science U.S., with a focus on developing nutrition solutions rooted in science to improve the health of people worldwide.

Buckwalter most recently served as U.S. President of the Active and Medical Nutrition business unit and Global Head of Strategy, Marketing, and Innovation for Nestlé Health Science. Under her leadership, Nestlé Health Science accelerated new product development, geographic expansion, and brand-building initiatives. Buckwalter has led the strategic direction for various brands, including BOOST®, Vital Proteins®, Carnation Breakfast Essentials®, Pure Encapsulations® and Compleat®.
Prior to joining Nestlé, Buckwalter gained expertise early in her career at marketing and creative firms serving major brands and businesses across CPG, healthcare, non-profit and food service categories. She currently serves as Vice Chair on the Board of Directors for Healthcare Nutrition Council. Buckwalter holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin and an MBA from Columbia University in New York.
