Nestlé Cares: Uniting Employees to Make a Positive Impact
In 8 cities across the U.S., employees volunteered with 23 community organizations.
Last month, Nestlé Health Science employees from various functions and brands of the business came together for the annual Nestlé Cares Day of Service, a company-wide event. Over 600 employees volunteered more than 1000 hours supporting 23 organizations.
The events focused on food insecurity, environmental stewardship and community care which involved employees harvesting, weeding, planting, and food distribution at local pantries. Some of the benefitting organizations included Community Food bank of New Jersey, Special Olympics, Hoboken Community Center, Island Harvest Food Bank, Grow It Green Urban Farm and Nourishing Hope.
Laurel Catlett-King, Vice President & Head of Human Resources, expressed her enthusiasm for the event, stating that "Nestlé Cares is a great opportunity to unite and mobilize our people across the U.S. to give back to the communities where we live. It's meaningful and important for each of us to play a role in being an active member of the community, and Nestlé Cares is a great example of how our core values and beliefs can be lived each day."
Nestlé Cares is a testament to our commitment to making a positive impact in the communities we serve and fostering a brighter future for all. Check out the video below to see employees in action and hear more about what Nestlé Cares means to them.
